Requirements for the concentration
The international environmental studies concentration focuses on understanding international environmental challenges through a multidisciplinary lens, and the ways in which states, non-state actors, and the international community seek to address these challenges. Key issues include climate change, sustainable development in relation to the environment, energy and natural resource use, and environmental security.
Students in the BA in international affairs program must complete at least 15 credits (five courses) to fulfill their concentration requirements, as indicated below. These courses must be taken in at least two different academic departments.
Students in the BS in international affairs program must complete at least 9 credits (three courses) to fulfill their specialization requirements, as indicated below. It is not required that these courses be taken in two different academic departments.
