Minor in Public Health | The George Washington University

The Milken Institute School of Public Health's (SPH) minor in public health introduces students to a wide range of public health topics, such as epidemiology, health management and policy, global health, health behavior, and environmental and occupational health. The minor provides a strong foundation in public health, preparing students for careers in public health and for enrollment in professional schools for study in law, medicine, physician assistant, and public health programs.

To be eligible to declare a minor in the Milken Institute School of Public Health (SPH), students must be enrolled in any undergraduate degree program at GW and be in good academic standing. To declare an SPH minor, visit the school's Undergraduate Minor Admissions page.

Students must have a 2.75 overall GPA in order to declare a minor in public health.

The following requirements must be fulfilled:18 credits total, including 9 credits in required courses and 9 credits in elective courses. All courses must be taken for a letter grade and a minimum grade of C- must be earned in each.
